Join a dedicated team committed to empowering individuals with diabetes to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. The Inpatient Diabetes Education Department provides comprehensive support and education for patients managing diabetes. Our certified diabetes care and education specialists (CDCEs) offer personalized counseling, lifestyle modification strategies, and hands-on training to help individuals understand their condition and effectively manage blood sugar levels.
In this role, you will:
Provide resources and guidance on healthy eating, exercise, medication management, and blood glucose monitoring.
Empower patients to make informed decisions and prevent complications through ongoing education and support.
Manage and adjust diabetes treatment plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to maintain safe and effective glycemic control in hospitalized patients
Serve as an expert in diabetes technology, assisting patients and healthcare providers with diabetes sensors and insulin pumps.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
BSN required; MSN preferred.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
Current California State RN License required.
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
Two (2) years experience in diabetes/endocrinology preferred.
Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice.
Demonstrateddedication to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.
