JOB GOAL: To assist in the supervision and efficient operation of the Child Nutrition Program in Hoover City Schools:

• USDA National School Lunch Program 
• USDA School Breakfast Program
• 16 Schools/Cafeterias
• 114 employees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field 
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience in food service
• NRA ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certified
• Knowledge and understanding of federal/state laws pertaining to the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to proficiently use current technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
• Ability to establish credibility with numerous constituents, effectively manage sensitive personnel issues, and effectively work with others
• Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457
