What you will do
The Regional Registered Dietitian will collaborate with Culinary and community healthcare teams to oversee high-quality nutrition care, culinary operational excellence, and regulatory compliance in the skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care levels of living. This position will closely collaborate with the client's Regional Clinical and Risk Management teams.
Salary range: $75,000 - $80,000 annually

This role...
Assures timely completion of all resident nutritional assessments, care plans, MDS, and clinical documentation for assigned communities.
Participates in or leads weekly nutrition at risk and weight meetings for assigned communities.
Contributes to Culinary State survey preparation program: ?
Represents the culinary team in the CPR program with assigned communities.
Creates survey readiness education for culinary managers and team members.
Acts as primary liaison for Culinary during state survey.
Works closely with CDMs and Culinary teams. Attends weekly team meetings.
Meets weekly with each community’s LTC Administrator and DON to discuss resident care and needs.
Oversees therapeutic and mechanically altered diet in-services for Culinary and nursing as needed.
Assists CDM in completing culinary team member competencies for the health center.
Completes monthly sanitation and health center quality audits. Communicates results in weekly manager's meeting.
Mentors CDMs and consultant RDNs.
Trains and precepts UND course for those who want to become CDMs.
Nutrition Expertise
Interprets, evaluates, and utilizes current research related to resident-centered care.
Ensures compliance with current CMS and state regulations and the nutrition care process.
Reviews and updates enterprise clinical assessment and audit forms and policies and procedures annually with fellow RDNs.
Provides support and expertise to CDM and Administrator during state survey to help resolve concerns and minimize citations.
Client/Resident Relations
Interfaces regularly and professionally with Culinary, LTC Administrator, DON, Executive Directors, residents, and families.
Participates in client meetings, training, and activities as needed.
Financial
Understands community culinary food and staffing budgets and works accordingly within parameters.

What you will need
BS Degree.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Current Dietetic Licensure or Certification.
ServSafe and/or State Certified in Safe Food Handling and Sanitation.
Five years experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Communities, and/or Group Homes.
Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Professional Liability Insurance.
Annual attendance of virtual and in-person CEU opportunities to learn of trends and changes within the industry and regulatory bodies. Logs CEU credits with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Proficiency with Point Click Care and other clinical and computer competencies.
