Competitive salary and start-up resources are available. This will be a 12-month faculty position at the level of Faculty Associate. The UTHealth Houston School of Public Health Dietetic Internship Program is located in the Department of Health Promotion & Behavioral Sciences (https://sph.uth.edu/dept/hpbs/) and the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living. The internship director is responsible for assuring the internship education activities integrate effectively and efficiently with department operations. Position Key Accountabilities: • Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and supervising program operations • Developing and Evaluating the program • Engaging in strategic planning and managing finances for the program • Recruiting and advising dietetic interns and ensuring alignment between dietetic internship and MPH degree program requirements. • Establishing and managing an effective curriculum • Establishing, maintaining, and facilitating community partnerships and service opportunities for themselves, program participants, and dietetic internship students. These opportunities can include events related to advocacy in nutrition, education, and wellness • Coordinating practicum sites and rotation schedules for students and preceptors • Maintaining program accreditation, and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice • Maintaining an active role as an employee within the School of Public Health • Play a role in coordinating the development, management, instruction, and evaluation of nutrition-related classes and content within McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston (https://med.uth.edu/). The program management time allocation is 75/25 with 75% of the time allotted to managing the program and 25% toward teaching graduate-level courses.

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, with a Masters or Ph.D. in nutrition, public health, or a related field • Evidence of professional preparation and practice in nutrition and dietetics for at least seven (7) years • Evidence of effective teaching, preferably at the college level or other professional experience for a minimum of three years post RDN credentialing; either currently credentialed as a Licensed Dietitian in Texas or eligible for licensure in Texas • Skill in utilizing instructional and computer technology • Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of professional development related to areas of expertise
