Recruit and interview for approved positions utilizing a standard selection process
Plan and organize orientation and in-service training for staff and participate in guidance and educational programs
Participate in care planning meetings on Skilled Nursing Unit
Inspect meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance
Monitor and control department costs to maintain expenditures within budget
Maintain food service logs, report and statistical records in accordance with policies and state requirements
Remain current in the field of Food Service Management through continuing education and professional development
Teach and facilitate ServSafe tests for staff
Supervisory experience in a related field
Sound knowledge of menu planning, diet therapy and food production management
Knowledge of an electronic menu system
Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or related field
Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Alabama-OR- Registered Dietitian
ServSafe Manager certification
Eligible for ServSafe Instructor certification
