The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Henry Goldman School of Dental Medicines is seeking a licensed, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist for one day per week to be a part of the interdisciplinary team at the Henry Goldman School of Dental Medicines pediatric dental clinic.
Responsibilities: Facilitate interprofessional practice interactions between dental residents and speech-language graduate students including coordination and supervision of observation/screening experience for BU MS-SLP students. Provide speech and language screenings and treatment to dental patients between the ages of 2 and 10 years of age. This may evolve into provision of longer consultations. Counsel parents/guardians regarding the results of the screening/consultation and recommendations. Consult with dentists, residents, nutritionist, and occupational therapists.
1-3 years' experience and Master's degree required.
