This position is actively involved in all aspects of Bariatric patient care, including nutrition and exercise assessment and counseling, and coordinating the Bariatric program.
Attendance and punctuality are essential to job function.
Manages patient visits to the Bariatric Clinic
Manages patient progress for surgery in coordination with surgeon's office to ensure patients meet insurance requirements for surgery.
Verifies insurance coverage for patients.
Provides medical nutrition therapy and exercise preparation for Bariatric surgery patients through one on one sessions and group classes.
Provides continued medical nutrition therapy and exercise support to Bariatric patients after surgery.
Collects data for outcome measure.
Works collaboratively with Bariatric Clinic Coordinator on MBSAQIP accreditation
Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team to promote patient success.
Performs administrative tasks for day to day clinic operations
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics Registered and Licensed Dietitian with the State of Texas required, Certified Personal Trainer or Health and Fitness Specialist certification preferred Minimum of 1 2 years in Nutrition/Dietetics or related area
