The Nutrition Communications Manager is responsible for leading the strawberry health research program and nutrition communications program within the marketing/communications team, as well as educating and presenting the benefits of strawberry consumption to scientific and consumer audiences. The individual serves as liaison to the professional health community, relevant trade associations and other key nutrition opinion influencers, and develops communications plans and partnerships to reach key health professional audiences. The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a diverse team environment, has awareness and understanding of scientific and nutrition issues affecting the food and beverage industries; has the ability to communicate scientific/technical information to a non-scientific/technical audience; and can lead and identify opportunities to promote strawberry health research to influencers and consumers.
Master’s degree plus1-3 years experience; or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years experience in Nutrition, Food Science, Dietetics or related area. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. Minor in Communications desirable. Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable.
