VUMC TempForce was created to connect temporary talent to allareas of the Medical Center. departments across the Medical Center. TempForce hasopportunities for experienced Cooks for the hours of 10am until7pm.
In this role you will beresponsible for preparing meals for patients following assigned standardizedrecipes. You will also be responsible for sanitation and safety ofyour work area.
Prepares food forpatients and/or cafeteria customers following assigned production schedule andstandardized recipes. Maintains sanitation and safety of work area.
Maintains and insures food safety.
Maintains safe work environment.
Uses approved cooking methods to prepare quality foods for patients/retail to achieve customer satisfaction.

FDA/USDARegulations Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency tosuccessfully demonstrate FDA and or USDA regulations in practical applicationsof moderate difficulty.
Possesses sufficientfundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate food preparation inpractical applications of moderate difficulty.
Possesses sufficientfundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate food replenishment inpractical applications of moderate difficulty.
HOURS: 10am-7pm and availabilityto work every other weekend
QUALIFICATIONS: 1-3 years of cooking experience
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and 1 year relevant experience
