Grand Island Public Schools is seeking a Registered Dietitian as part of the Child Nutrition Team.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about child nutrition, innovative, creative, team-oriented, high energy and reliable. This is a 10-month position and assists in planning all Nutrition Services activities and menus during the school year. Continuing Education is paid and occurs during the summer months. Salary range is $45,000 to $55,000, depending on qualifications. This is a 10 month position.
The School Dietitian oversees and coordinates food and nutrition programming within schools and/or school district. Primary responsibilities include planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating menus for standard and special diets; consulting with teachers on nutrition education projects; managing the wellness program; promotion and marketing of food and nutrition services to students, parents, and staff; collaborating with community groups and agencies to further program goals; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.
BS degree in food service management, dietetics, nutrition or similar area is required.
Registered Dietitian (R.D.) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
SNA certification Level 3 or credentialing School Nutrition Specialist preferred.

The Grand Island Public Schools, located in Hall County, is a comprehensive school system offering education to students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.
